CODE TRIAGE LEVEL 1 - EXTERNAL 4/21 Update: Winter Storm Warning has been downgraded to a Winter Storm Advisory. Code Triage Level 1 remains in effect as a precaution. Hello TFHS, A inches above 6500 feet with 12 to 18 inches along highest mountain peaks. 1 to 4 inches of snow possible at lake level, especially on the western shores. Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph across lower elevations, including Lake Tahoe where wave heights reach 1 to 3 feet. Ridge top winds gusting up to 90 mph at times. Travel could be very difficult through Sierra passes. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday and Wednesday commutes. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines. 
If you recall, we made a decision as a Health System to formalize our responses to predicted large storm events to assure staffing and supplies are available. When a Winter Storm Warning is in place, we will heighten our awareness for escalation of that warning. When a Hazardous/Severe Winter Storm Warning, Winter Storm Watch, or Blizzard Warning is issued by the National Weather Service, we will activate a Code Triage Level 1 - External.
